Sectorial Committee of the French Office of Immigration and Integration (OFII)
27 November 2018
On November 27, 2018, the Sectorial Committee of our member, the French Office of Immigration and Integration (OFII), was held in the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Georgia.
OFII opened its representative office in Georgia, in Tbilisi, in November 2015 and aims to accompany Georgian nationals who, being in a precarious situation in France, express their will to return to their country to join a resolute and sustainable approach of reintegration.
Thanks to the OFII system, returning volunteers have, during the first months of their installation and based on previously identified needs, active support and constant monitoring by OFII designated field service providers.
This support aims to contribute to the successful and sustainable resettlement of these beneficiaries who, in their efforts, contribute to the economic development of their country by creating microenterprises and / or by following professional training adapted to the local market.
The OFII Georgia conducts on average 4 committees a year to analyse the requests for trainings and financing of micro-projects. Beneficiaries present their projects to a committee composed of a representative of the State, the director of the OFII and 4 members of the jury. The sectors concerned are very wide: services, agriculture, trade, ...
The committee concludes with field visits to assess the progress and implementation of the previously approved projects.
Jony Sokhadze openned its butcher shop and is offering fresh Georgian meat in the street Gogiberidze in Tbilisi.
Shota Rokhadze openned its workshop in Didi Digomi, this year to repair cars.
