A major French investment in Tbilisi International Airport

The expansion of Tbilisi International Airport has officially been launched.

The expansion of Tbilisi International Airport has officially been launched. TAV Georgia, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, member of Groupe ADP, will invest over USD 150 million to double the airport’s annual capacity from 5 to 10 million passengers by 2028.

The project includes the expansion of the terminal and airside facilities, the modernisation of operational systems, and the creation of new commercial, dining and passenger service areas.
The investment responds to strong traffic growth: in 2025, the airport welcomed more than 5.4 million passengers.

“Georgia is where we are experiencing our strongest and fastest growth,” said Franck Mereyde, Executive Board Member and Chair of the Executive Committee of TAV Airports.

Operating in Georgia since 2005, TAV Georgia manages Tbilisi and Batumi international airports. The CCIFG - Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Française en Géorgie welcomes this project, which reflects the strength of the French-Georgian partnership and the contribution of French companies to Georgia’s strategic infrastructure.
